Trip launches two new flights to Foz do Iguacu

A Trip Airlines will increase its frequency of flights in Foz do Iguacu. From today (26), the company is launching two new flights, round trip, between Foz and the cities of Porto Alegre (RS) and Cuiabá (MT).

From Monday to Saturday, one of the new flights will depart from Cuiabá bound to Foz do Iguacu and Porto Alegre (RS). The other, conversely, from Porto Alegre and Foz through with a final destination in Cuiaba, will operate from Sunday to Monday.   

"This new route is meant to stimulate the local air transport connections that strengthen, as well as tourism, intensive business traffic between the regions," said Evaristo de Paula Mascarenhas, director of marketing and sales Trip.

International flight

Starting next month, the Uruguayan airline Pluna will operate a new airline, between Montevideo and Foz, facilitating the access of tourists to the region. The direct international flight to Foz reduce the cost and travel time of important centers for outbound tourists to the city.

Visitors from other continents will also benefit from new. According Piolla as Montevideo has a hub (center of commercial operations) with flights of four international airlines, the new line will make passengers coming from countries with large tourist market, as the United States, Spain, Japan and China, for example, no longer need to go through other Brazilian cities before arriving in Foz do Iguacu, losing much time with connections in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.

For the municipal secretary of Tourism in Foz do Iguacu, Felipe Gonzalez, the importance of the new flights is the strategic role they play. "For Montevideo we are opening an international gateway, and Cuiabá, creating enabling a bridge to the Pantanal".
